Even if carp anglers always like to try out the craziest and most sophisticated strategies and tactics, it can quickly become confusing for many beginners, especially at the beginning!
So that you don't have this problem , we would like to give you the following 5 golden tips right at the beginning, so that it works for you with your first (capital) carp!
Choosing the right spot to successfully fish for carp is one of the most important points of all!
A spot where there are no fish, or where the fish just aren't eating, will bring you little to no catch
In the best case, choose your spot not based on whether you can sit comfortably there, but whether carp are also there and eat there.
Striking and very often promising spots are herb fields, water lilies, overhanging trees, edges on the bottom of the water, plateaus or reverse currents and current edges (in the river).
Everything where the carp finds protection and cover on the one hand, but also food such as snails, worms, mussels etc. on the other.
Once you have found such a spot, everything else is only half as difficult!
We would now recommend that you feed the place 1 - 3 days with some food.
No worries! We're not talking about kilos of boilies, particles and the like!
No, 2 - 3 handfuls of a good, high-quality boilie are completely sufficient and can work wonders here!
One of the simplest but probably most promising tips ever!
Always be on the lookout for bottoming, rolling or jumping carp.
If you can observe something like this, then you should not hesitate and definitely put down one of your rods there!
Wherever you can observe the carp on the water surface, there is a high probability that they will eat at this point!
If you hear from other carp anglers that certain strategies or tactics work particularly well on your target water, don't hesitate to adopt and use them.
So you can save a lot of time and fish much more effectively!
Just talk to the other anglers on your waters.
Many carp anglers will be happy to give you their tips and tricks and help you to catch your first (big) carp.
Above all, they often know exactly what works particularly well or not at all on the water!
Good preparation is half the battle or half the catch!
Always have your fishing gear ready at home, perfectly prepared , so that you can get started immediately when the weather is good or you have time to go fishing.
Don't start worrying about your strategy and tactics until you get to the water (if you already know the course or know something about it!)
Always have a few different rigs with you so that you can react and act as quickly as possible to different situations!
Thanks to the internet and social media, we anglers now have an almost infinite amount of information at our disposal on how we can fish even more successfully.
However, that doesn't always have to be a good thing!
Many carp anglers, beginners and professionals, often feel overwhelmed or overwhelmed by all the information and options that are available today for targeted carp fishing.
We therefore recommend that you keep it simple and easy!
Don't lug around tons of tackle and baits that only hinder you or make you inflexible when fishing and you can change places faster and easier.
Use rigs and baits that have proven themselves and have successfully persuaded countless fish to go ashore!
If you follow these 5 simple tips, you will soon be able to catch your first (big) carp!
My team and I wish you lots of fun and success!
See you soon,
